Soft Bags

Cordura bags from Bagaboo (Budapest), FAHRER Berlin, and HPA (Nantes). Some replace the box entirely with a large roll-top bag, others sit inside the cargo area. Radical Design's Bullitt Bag V2 is one of the most popular — waterproof, lightweight, folds flat when empty. BikeParka offers full bike covers for storage.

Hard Boxes

The Bullitt's standardized cargo area means every box fits every generation of frame. Options range from lightweight plywood (Rad3, Badger Bikes) to phenolic resin (Hardus Velofurn) to welded aluminum (United Cargobike, Velogut) to recycled plastic (MORE Cargobike). Prices start around €120 for a basic box and go up to €500+ for insulated delivery setups.

Dog Boxes

Dog boxes need ventilation, a secure leash point, and easy entry. Hardus Velofurn, Badger Bikes, and Convoy each take different approaches — from low-sided open boxes to fully enclosed crates. Dyed in the Wool makes a sewn cargo dog bag that collapses when not in use.

Base Plates

The foundation everything mounts to. Cargobike Utility's Raildeck uses airline rail slots for modular attachment. Larry vs Harry's Honeycomb Board is the official lightweight option. Biga makes 15+ deck plate variants from Milan. YHWHY's Billboard system adds side panels and lighting. Prices from €50 for a basic plywood plate to €250+ for a full modular system.

Box Accessories

Rain canopies are the most debated accessory in the Bullitt community. The choice comes down to height (can kids sit upright with helmets?), access (clamshell vs side zip), and weather seal. Larry vs Harry, BLAQ Design (Portland), Clarijs (Netherlands), Rad3, and Hardus each take different approaches. Flat covers and tarpaulins from Clarijs and Hardus offer simpler weather protection without the canopy bulk.
